The patented redundant level measurement system from ACS Control-System sets new standards in data reliability. Two independent sensors with physically different measuring principles verify each other — ensuring maximum precision and safety in water monitoring.

REDUNDANT LEVEL MEASUREMENT – NOW PATENTED IN EUROPE

ACS Control-System GmbH has received the European patent for its groundbreaking level measurement system—a significant leap forward in hydrological monitoring. The innovation: two physically independent sensors working in tandem to verify each other’s data. This redundancy measurement ensures that incorrect measurements caused by e.g. sanding of the measuring point, build-up on the sensor, sensor errors etc. are detected at an early stage. It drastically reduces the need for manual validation and increases data reliability.

At the core of the system are the DLF4 and Hydrolog® HLF4 data loggers. These robust devices capture precise values for level, temperature, pressure, or precipitation, and transmit them in real time via the strongest local mobile network to the ACS Web Portal. From there, users can visualize, analyze, and trigger alarms remotely.

For redundant measurements, different sensor principles can be combined, such as the ultrasonic level transmitter Sonicont® USP4, the radar sensor Radarcont® RP4, or the hydrostatic level probe Hydrocont® HP4. This variety enables physically independent data verification and ensures maximum system reliability.

This patented solution is a game changer, particularly in critical sectors such as flood prevention, groundwater monitoring, and industrial tank level management. Redundant sensing minimizes the risk of failure, improves data quality, and enables predictive maintenance planning.

ACS goes beyond hardware. Clients receive a full-service package: from site planning and sensor setup to remote monitoring and maintenance. The system operates autonomously for up to 10 years, even in remote areas—providing secure data transmission and maximum operational uptime.

The European patent solidifies ACS Control-System’s position as a pioneer in modern measurement technology, ushering in a new era of intelligent, fail-safe level monitoring.
